Weekly Classes
Weekly classes are split between two age groups of Juniors 5-8 and Seniors 8 - 14 and run during term time.
All classes work on the core three disciplines of performing: Drama, singing and dancing.
Students will learn both techniques and performance skills as well as; developing confidence and social awareness, forming new friendships and having amazing amounts of fun! For Key Stage Two groups the addition of script reading, devising, monologues and duologues will be added to focus on developing new acting skills too.
Illuminate Arts Drama and Lamda Club
Work with a professional actor in a 1.5 hours weekly evening session of drama. Using drama games, script reading, improvisation and devising to learn and develop acting techniques and confidence in performing.
Optional exams to complete LAMDA awards are encouraged in addition to your weekly drama class. You will be coached and directed through a series of monologues and dualogues either during the session or in a private tuition session. Sessions are taught by qualified instructors holding either a LAMDA Diploma in Speech and Drama Education (LSDE) or the LAMDA Certificate in Speech and Drama: Performance Studies (PCertLAM).
Illuminate Arts Musical Theatre Club
Each weekly 1.5 hour session includes drama games and vocal and physical warm ups before exploring an ensemble piece from a west end musical.
Throughout the term students will rehearse songs, learn Jazz choreography and fundamental performance skills before showcasing their developed talents in an end of term performance in which family and friends are invited to attend.
Classes are taught by working professionals of stage and musical theatre and are open to all levels of talent to come long and enjoy.
